The Avani Bangkok Riverside built adjacent to Anantara Riverside is aiming to cater to both leisure and business travellers – mostly from abroad. It is a 26-storey hotel project by Minor Hotel Group. The 26 storey tower will include 190 guest rooms and a further 20 suites as well as a shopping plaza.
The unconventional hotel is due to open in 2015 and will have an 11th floor lobby and lounge and will be home to a ‘secret’ bar, as well as a rooftop bar, designed by Ashley Sutton of Iron Fairies and Maggie Choo’s fame.
Avani Bangkok Riverside Hotel & Spa is the first purpose-built Avani – and the flagship for the brand globally. Avani Hotels & Resorts, the new hotel chain operator of Bangkok-based Minor Hotel Group, has invested Bt2.2 billion to build the property, which will offer 249 rooms, including one of the largest meeting and banqueting facilities located in the capital on the Chao Phraya River.
